By John McKay

A Bible reading guide that covers the Pentateuch (Genesis to Deuteronomy), Mark’s Gospel, Hebrews and Romans. It considers faith in God’s promises, obedience to His call, and the saving power of Christ’s sacrifice.

Paperback, 234 pages

£15.00

The Call and the Cross Bible reading guide is the first of four volumes that together form a guide to the whole Bible, seen through the activity and experience of the Holy Spirit. This first volume considers faith in God’s promises, obedience to His call, and acknowledgement of the saving power of Christ’s sacrifice as the foundational principles on which all Christian life must be built. The Old Testament section covers the Pentateuch (Genesis to Deuteronomy). The New Testament section follows the themes of faith, obedience and sacrifice through Mark’s Gospel, Hebrews and Romans, emphasising the priesthood of Christ.

This reading guide is supplemented by the Call and The Cross workbook, which is a six month course of weekly studies based on the reading guide, and a set of 20 minute talks available to buy as downloadable MP3 files. The other volumes in the series are: Times of Refreshing, Heirs of the Prophets and My Lord and My God.
